A Vision for Salsa
In 1997, Eddie Sanderson took aim to create the best tasting bottled salsa on the market. His formula was simple: Use only the best quality ingredients to create the best tasting salsa that people will want as a staple in their kitchen. Thus, TEXAS-TEXAS Premium Salsa was born.
Gaining Traction
The formula worked. That same year, Eddie entered his salsa in the prestigious Austin Chronicle Salsa Contest, and TEXAS-TEXAS Premium Salsa garnered the first place in the People's Choice division. Since then, TEXAS-TEXAS Premium Salsa has been winning awards year after year. But Eddie credits that to his steadfast belief in providing people year after year with good tasting, high quality products.
Ten Years Later
Sanderson Specialty Foods has significantly grown since the millennium and the popularity of TEXAS-TEXAS brand products has significantly increased since that first award in August 1997. We've added 8 new salsas and sauces over the years, and many of our products can be found in most major grocery chains throughout Texas including Kroger, Wal-Mart, H.E.B, Albertson's, Randall's, Central Market, and several Whole Foods.
We continue to develop and market high quality products to meet consumers' demands and their ever-changing, adventurous tastes. While some things continue to change in our business, our mission will always remain the same: Build a world class specialty foods business that produces quality products in order to enrich people's lives and bring them enjoyment.
